2. rent a bike

We are currently re-equipping the bikes in Dresden with FrameLocks instead of combination locks. The new rent / return process slightly differs from the old one. Check it out here!

Scan the QR-Code or enter the bike number.

Open the combination lock with the received lock code.

If the bike has the new FrameLock on the rear wheel it will open automatically.

You can park your bike during your rental by closing the combination lock or activating the park mode in the app and closing the FrameLock. Deactivate the park mode to open the lock again, but don't do that from afar.

Receive the lock code via text message. If the bike has the new FrameLock on the rear wheel it will open automatically.

Open the combination lock if available.

You can park your bike during your rental by closing the combination lock or activating the park mode in the app and closing the FrameLock. Deactivate the park mode to open the lock again, but don't do that from afar.

IN GENERAL: Enter the bike number - receive the four-digit lock code - open the lock.

You can use a single account to rent up to four bikes at once.

3. Return a bike

Return the bike to an official station and close the lock. Within the inner circle you can return your bike at any main street or junction. 

Return your bike via app by selecting the chosen station or your current position.

If the bike has the new FrameLock it will be returned automatically when closing the lock.

IN GENERAL: Close the bike lock - select the appropriate station via the app, BikeComputer or hotline - confirm your return.

Bikes can only be returned at official stations or everywhere on public streets within the green area in the city center. A service fee of 20 € or more will apply if a bike is not returned appropriately. 

Starting credit

Before being able to take off on your first ride, you will first have to activate your customer account by verifying your means of payment (Credit Card or debit).

  • Upon confirming your payment method, you will be charged 1€.

  • This 1€ will be credited to you as a starting credit and can be used with all tariffs.

  • After debit via Credit Card, or via verified PayPal account your customer account will be activated immediately. Debitting via credit transfer may take up to four days.

  • You can change your means of payment at any time.
